Banknote identifier [with signature matrix]
Description
A tactile tool to identify Euro banknotes by size, which can fit in a wallet. [It also contains a rectangular cutout to assist with writing signatures].
How to use it
Hold it so that the steps are the top edge. The left and bottom edge have a small rim of about 1mm height, this side should face up and towards you, with the flat side facing away from you. On the left side oft the plate you can feel 2 vertical grooves of different lengths. Align the bottom left corner of a banknote you want to identify with the bottom left corner oft the identifier. Check the height of the banknote by checking how many steps are covered by the note, starting with the lowest step/5€ on the right, followed by the second lowest/10€ etc. The hightest step or above denotes a 50€, 100€ or 200€ banknote. To differentiate between them crisply fold the note over the right edge. Use the rim on the left and bottom edge to make sure the corners are aligned properly before doing this! With the note folded feel for the grooves on the left side. A 50€ note will cover none of the grooves, both can be felt. A 100 note will cover the short inner groove, the outer longer one can be felt. A 200€ note will cover both grooves.
