Become a free member and access a wide range of services: counselling, a selection of assistive devices, and an extensive leisure program.
Become a member
To become a free member of the Austrian Association Supporting the Blind and Visually Impaired, complete our online form or book a personal appointment. Membership is also possible during mobile or Skype counselling sessions. A current eye report is required.
Note: Another way to access Austrian Association Supporting the Blind and Visually Impaired services is through our supporting membership.
Free starter kit
As a new member, you can receive free of charge:
- An armband, and
- A badge.
You will receive the starter kit during your initial meeting. If membership is arranged by phone, video call, or e-mail, we will happily send it to you by post on request.
Assistive devices shop
We offer our visually impaired and blind members a wide selection of assistive devices. In our shop at the counselling center, you can get advice on all assistive devices and test them thoroughly. Our goal: Every member finds the right assistive devices for them.
Great leisure program
“Together it’s just more fun” is the motto of our comprehensive leisure program. Together we discover museums, stay active with sports, go on excursions, or join various groups. Our diverse program takes into account the needs of visually impaired and blind people. Whether young or old, there’s something for every age group.
